Canada to reduce work experience requirements for caregivers to qualify for permanent residence

Caregivers and employers welcomed the recent announcement from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or IRCC that Canadian work experience required for a caregiver to qualify for permanent residence is being reduced from 24 months to 12 months. Canada accepted 431,645 Permanent Residents in 2022

IRCC announced that they have reached their target of 431,645 permanent residents in 2022 surpassing their previous record from 2021. This represents the largest number of people welcomed in a year, in Canadian history. IRCC inventories and transitioning to online applications for permanent residence
